Summer Camps

We’ve always loved science and art at Time to Shine Preschool, and we’ve always incorporated science and art into our weekly curriculum for preschool and summer camps.  But this year, we are taking it a step further.  We are excited to announce our 2017 Summer STEAM Camp!  STEAM (or S.T.E.A.M) stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math.  It is a well-rounded approach to learning about a subject that involves motor skills, teamwork, and problem-solving.  In addition to these concepts, we are adding fun books, music, and drama to our camps as well!  Each week of camp is $130, with a $50 non-refundable deposit due with registration.  We are also offering a 10% sibling discount.  Camps are open to Time to Shine Preschool students and non-students who are ages 3-6 and toilet-trained. (Our 2017-2018 incoming preschool students who are not quite three years old are also welcome to come!)  Peanut/tree nut-free snacks and filtered water are provided daily.

Bugs, Butterflies, & Bookworms STEAM Camp

 July 10-14, 2017

Join us each day as we learn about all things creepy-crawly!  We will start our day with fascinating stories and non-fiction books about all types of tiny creatures.  We will learn about how caterpillars become butterflies and how bees transfer pollen and make honey.  We will experiment and learn why spiders don’t stick to their own webs, and we will create a room-sized spider web, trying to make it from one end of the web to the other without being gobbled up by a spider!  We will learn about pill bugs (aka Roly Polys) and build mazes for them, testing to see how they react to light, darkness, and barriers in their way.  In addition to all of these fun activities, we will be making yarn-wrapped bumblebees, crayon-resist butterflies, fizzing spider webs, and create our own little bug buddies!  Whether your child is afraid of bugs or is a bug enthusiast, we have so many fun activities planned and we know they will have a blast!

Download our 2017 Summer Camp Registration Form and mail it or drop it in our box by the door along with a check for the non-refundable $50 registration fee per week of camp.  The remaining $80 is due on the first day of camp during drop-off.  Contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
